Sales Support & Customer Experience Coordinator
California Solar Electric Cooperative is a worker-owned solar, battery storage, EV charging, and energy services company based in Grass Valley, California. We help homeowners and businesses take control of their power through solar energy, battery storage, backup power, EV charging, and smart energy management systems.
We're looking for a highly organized, customer-focused team member to serve as the first point of contact for many of our customers while supporting our growing sales and operations teams.
Compensation
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule & Work Location
This is a full-time, in-office position based at our Grass Valley headquarters. Team members are expected to work onsite Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break.
We also host a monthly customer and community outreach event on the last Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Attendance is expected as part of the role. Hours worked during these events may be paid as overtime or offset with approved time off during the workweek, depending on business needs and employee preference.
What You'll Do
Customer Experience
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct customers to the appropriate department
- Greet walk-in customers and visitors
- Respond to general customer inquiries
- Help customers navigate the sales and installation process
Sales Support
- Enter and manage leads within our CRM system
- Schedule consultations and appointments
- Assist the sales team with administrative support
- Match incoming leads with appropriate sales consultants
- Support customer document collection processes
- Assist with proposal follow-up and customer communications
- Learn the fundamentals of solar, battery storage, EV charging, and backup power systems
Administrative Support
- Process incoming mail and deliveries
- Assist with payment collection and customer receipts
- Scan and organize documents
- Support office organization and record keeping
- Assist with special projects and research assignments
- Help maintain accurate customer and project records
- Participate in general office upkeep, including keeping shared spaces clean and assisting with light cleaning duties, including restrooms, as needed

Preferred Qualifications
- Solar industry experience preferred but not required
- Customer service experience
- Sales support experience
- Administrative or office experience
- Experience with CRM software, databases, or project management systems
- Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- QuickBooks experience is a plus
