You’ll visit homes, gather critical site information, explain how the system works in plain terms, and close the loop between Sales, Design, and Project Management to ensure everything runs smoothly.
This role blends customer service, technical knowledge, and problem-solving. It’s ideal for someone who communicates clearly, works well independently, and takes pride in helping others feel empowered.

Key Responsibilities:
Site Assessments and Field Documentation

  • Conduct pre-design site visits to collect accurate measurements, drone images, and electrical panel details
  • Assess roof condition, attic framing, conduit routes, and battery locations
  • Upload photos and clear field notes to the CRM
  • Flag potential red flags or design issues early
Customer Education and Engagement
  • Explain how solar, batteries, smart panels, and EV chargers work together
  • Introduce customers to monitoring apps and energy best practices
  • Build confidence through calm, knowledgeable conversations
Design Support and Coordination
  • Create or revise layout sketches based on field findings
  • Work with Sales, Design, and PMs to finalize scope and confirm feasibility
  • Prepare Updated Design Records and clarify changes with homeowners
Final Walkthroughs and Ongoing Support
  • Lead post-install site walkthroughs to review equipment, monitoring, and next steps
  • Provide follow-up support around 30 days after PTO to review data and reinforce energy use habits
  • Help generate referrals by maintaining a clear, professional customer experience

What You Bring
  • A calm, clear presence in front of customers
  • Hands-on experience in solar, construction, or energy-related work
  • Confidence gathering field data and navigating rooftops, attics, and crawlspaces
  • Good documentation habits and an eye for detail
  • Ability to work solo in the field and coordinate with a cross-functional team
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within our service area
Bonus If You Have
  • Familiarity with solar design software (Scanifly, Helioscope, AutoCAD)
  • Experience in energy efficiency, home performance, or building science
  • FAA drone license or interest in earning one
  • Background in co-ops, B Corps, or mission-driven organizations
